Adidas Ltd. is a major sportswear company based in Germany. It is the biggest sportswear producer in Europe and the second largest in the world. Adidas produces many items such as shirts, bags and other sports goods in addition to their football boots for which they are known for.
One of the main products which Adidas manufactures is football uniforms and associated gear. Many professional football club teams use Adidas' football boots, team uniforms, and equipment. Adidas also supplies clothing and gear for all teams in Major League Soccer. In addition, they provide team kits for many international football teams. Currently, Adidas distributes team kits to Argentina, France, Russia, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Romania, Spain, Greece, and Nigeria. 
The company has been a trendsetter in football boot design and production. One of their more famous items was the Copa Mondial molded boot which has been used for matches on firm dry fields for about forty years. Adidas also made a studded version of the same boot and named it World Cup following the 1978 victory by Argentina in the World Cup competition. Argentina was one of the many nations which Adidas supplied at the time and this was the company's tribute to their celebration. Adidas became famous for their "Predator" boot design which was developed by Craig Johnston who had played for Liverpool and the Australian international team in the past. 
As the expansion and popularity of Football continues over the years, Adidas plays a main role in determining the style of the game itself.
