Frank James Lampard, Jr. is an English football player who at this time plays for Chelsea but has played with West Ham United and Swansea City in the past. He also currently plays on the England national team. Lampard was born on June 20th 1978, in Romford, England. He is the son of past England full back and double FA Cup winner with West Ham United, Frank Lampard, Sr. He is also related to the Redknapps who are another famous football playing family. Lampard studied at Brentwood School, a private school in Brentwood, Essex. Lampard has won many tournaments throughout his career with Chelsea including; the English Premiership twice (in 2004–05 and 2005–06), the FA Cup (in 2007) the League Cup twice (in 2005 and 2007), and the FA Community Shield (in 2005). He also won the UEFA Intertoto Cup while playing with West Ham in 1999. Lampard received the title England fans' Player of the Year twice (in 2004 and 2005). He was named runner-up in the European Footballer of the Year awards in November 2005 (Brazilian midfielder Ronaldinho won the title that year) and finished again in second place behind Ronaldinho in the 2005 FIFA World Player of the Year awards. He was also named FWA Footballer of the Year and won the FIFPro World XI award both in 2005.
