West Ham United Football Club is an English football club located in Upton Park, in East London. The team has played their home games at the Boleyn Ground stadium since 1904. The club was initially founded in 1895 as Thames Ironworks F.C. , but in 1900 it was modified to their current arrangement. They originally participated in the Southern League and Western League before joining the full Football League in 1919. The team had their first top flight season in 1923, also participating in the first FA Cup Final to be held at Wembley. The clubs has spent their entire league career in the top two divisions and have been FA Cup winners three times (in 1964, 1975 and 1980). In 1965, they won the Cup Winners Cup and in 1999 they won the Intertoto Cup. The club's best final league ranking was in third place in the 1985-1986 First Division. The team currently competes in the Premier League, finishing in 10^th position in the 2007-2008 seasons. West Ham's home kit currently consists of a claret and blue jersey, white shorts, and white socks. The original colors of the team were dark blue and they have used a variety of kits including the claret and sky blue house colors, sky blue and white uniforms. The team permanently adopted claret and blue for their home kit in 1899. West Ham's away kit colors rotate between dark blue, white, and sky blue kits.  Their away kit currently includes a sky blue shirt, sky blue shorts, and sky blue socks.
